Court Issues Permanent Injunction Against Samson Manufacturing

June 26, 2007, Boston, Massachusetts

In a move to further protect Troy Industries, Inc., yesterday, Superior Court Justice, Ralph D. Gants, issued a permanent injunction ordering that Samson Manufacturing Corporation is permanently enjoined from “manufacturing or contracting with others to manufacture for sale…..”, “soliciting, advertising, or accepting orders for sale……”, “disclosing to anyone any design drawings…” of the Modular Rail Fore-end, Forward Hand Guard and Scope Mount.

Troy Industries, Inc. was represented at the hearing by attorneys, Christian G. Samito and Sarah K. Willey, both of Donovan Hatem, LLP.

“Troy Industries is happy that the court, after hearing all of the evidence and following the jury’s mandate, entered the ultimate ruling, that Samson Manufacturing can no longer manufacture and sell the very products that it wrongfully copied from Troy”, said Stephen Troy, Founder and President of Troy Industries, Inc.  “This ruling ought to send a message to other competitors that seek to copy Troy’s products.”

Lead trial counsel, Damian LaPlaca addes, “This significant jury verdict and injunction reaffirm to companies, their consultants, contractors, and venders, that confidentiality agreements will be enforced in Massachusetts and that they provide potent information without the threat of losing ownership of innovative ideas.”
